Coffee & Reishi eye serum
I've been working on this eye serum for months, and I couldn't be happier with the end result! It also smells like coffee with a touch of earth, and I want to smell it all day long. I slowly infused freshly ground local roasted organic coffee, wild-harvested reishi mushroom, eyebright, and licorice root. These powerful ingredients are known for their antioxidant content, ability to soothe redness and lessen dark circles, calm inflammation and puffiness, and smooth + prevent fine lines.
macadamia nut oil - jojoba oil - sweet almond oil // high antioxidant oils rich in vitamin E. These oils are "dry", which means they absorb quickly and do not leave the skin feeling heavy or greasy
fine coffee grounds & reishi mushroom // the caffeine in coffee works to soothe and brighten eyes and is great for people with dark circles and inflammation. Reishi mushroom works synergistically with the coffee (it is believed that a lot of the properties in reishi mushroom are more active with the help of caffeine) by providing rapid healing to the skin and deep nourishment in the form of antioxidants.
eyebright // a wonderful herb that has an affinity for the eyes! It is actually often used IN the eye to treat various conditions, and externally it soothes tired and irritated skin and is great for treating puffy eyes. It also helps the eyes feel more awake!
licorice root // known for lightening dark under-eye circles, discoloration and age spots.
NO ESSENTIAL OILS WERE USED // I wanted this serum to be gentle and safe, and essential oils near the eyes are generally not a good idea.
*This serum comes in a half ounce glass dropper bottle and lasts an incredibly long time. All you need is about 1-2 drops massaged around the eye area one to two times per day.
